The little vegetable garden that the Neighborhood Focus kids cultivated with care last year was, regrettably, left abandoned this summer. Yet nature, in its unfathomable wisdom, created a touching surprise. Among the expanse of weeds, a resilient tomato plant from the previous season somehow sprouted, and against all odds, flourished under cover to gift us a bounty of juicy tomatoes without any nurturing on our part. The unexpected turn of events led me to some profound reflections:

God’s Ever-Present Grace: The tomato plant's triumph in adversity parallels the unwavering grace God bestows upon us. Even when we feel isolated, overshadowed, or consumed by the ‘weeds’ of our daily struggles, His love and blessings never waver. They are always around, waiting for us to notice and embrace.

Resilience and Purpose: Amidst the chaos of the surrounding weeds, the tomato plant stood its ground, finding its purpose and place. It is a poignant reminder that, armed with faith and guided by God’s providence, we too can thrive even in the most challenging situations, turning obstacles into opportunities.

Bountiful Surprises Await: The unanticipated harvest symbolizes the unpredictable, yet beautiful blessings God often has in store for us. Even when we might drift away, there is a divine plan unfolding, enriching our journey in surprising ways.

As I savored these tomatoes with my wife during our transition season to the new school year, each bite reminded me of God's ever-present love and the subtle lessons embedded in our everyday experiences. Here’s to recognizing and celebrating these divine whispers in our lives! 🍅

Our partnership with SCCF for our Donor Advised Fund has helped us expand and grow our giving opportunities with “Kingdom-focused” ministries.

Through SCCF’s great support and service, Circle 555 in York County has made a Kingdom-minded impact on our community. I give to many nonprofit organizations, and without hesitation, I would recommend SCCF to manage gifts in an impactful manner that is pleasing to God.

Having participated in Gatekeepers for a few years, I have found the fellowship, accountability, and community with Christian brothers to be life-giving, edifying, and enriching. I would encourage anyone considering Gatekeepers to try it. You will be blessed beyond expectation.

Because SCCF is mission-focused and Christ-centered, my husband and I prayerfully decided to invest our charitable funds with them and participate in their ministries. We feel confident our investment works for God’s glory and His Kingdom.

SCCF has become a valued and trusted resource for Christians focused on building God’s Kingdom through faithful stewardship and generous giving in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.

The greatest blessing for me in Circle 555 is partnering with Christian women from our community to support local ministries with our grants, gifts, and prayers and then hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and impacted families through these ministries.
