From humble beginnings in Spartanburg to a thriving ministry across the state, South Carolina Christian Foundation has been a partner with our community for 25 years. God has been faithful and orchestrated our growth from a start-up to managing approximately $40 million today and distributing more than $55 million to nonprofits and ministries within that same timeframe. By the end of 2023, SCCF will have touched nearly $100 million in charitable dollars since our founding in 1997!

As of 2021, SCCF operates in four major communities—Spartanburg, Greenville, York County, and the Grand Strand. We serve a generous client base made up of stellar individuals from the business, medical, legal, and financial communities. God is writing this story and He has led us on this incredible journey. We are grateful for His provision and blessing!

As we look ahead to our next 25 years, we are excited to unveil a new chapter in our journey—a fresh new logo that reflects our legacy and future, our mission and vision. More than a design update, our logo represents who we are and what we believe.

Within our logo, you will notice that the design of our state is streamlined and reflects our advances in technological service and capacity building as we streamline our giving processes and maximize tax benefits for our clients. The blue hues reflect the trust we seek to earn and install in our clients and communities, as well as the spiritual growth and focus we have on the Palmetto state.

As eyes are drawn to the middle of the two C’s, you note the ichthys, the Christian fish, which was an ancient symbol used in early centuries by followers of Jesus to identify with other believers and signify their places of gathering and worship. For SCCF, it reflects our intent to be a rallying point for the Christian community, a convener and collaborator of like-minded and like-passioned people.

In addition to a new logo, we updated our website address and our email extensions to enhance our organization's name. SCCFonline.org was launched at our founding in 1997 when SCCF was the acronym for Spartanburg Christian Community Foundation. In 2008, the Board of Directors expanded its vision of pursuing greater ministry impact and changed the name to South Carolina Christian Foundation, retaining the same acronym. Now as we have operations across the state, we are excited to bring our web address in line with our geographical reach. Our new web address is SCChristianFoundation.org and is also reflected in our email extensions. As we launch this phase, the new address will point temporarily to our current sccfonline.org site and your emails to us will still be received at the former email addresses. We encourage you to edit the domain site for emails to us in your contact files.

In addition to our new logo and web domain, we have more exciting changes on the horizon. We look forward to growing our capacity for annual ministry grants through the Community Trust, a fund built by our clients, families, and businesses. We will also be announcing new ideas for our community initiatives, including Circle 555 and Ministry to Ministries, in the coming months.

We believe these changes represent where we have been and our future ahead. As we embrace this new chapter, we want to express our gratitude for the trust and support of our clients and ministries in our care who have been instrumental in where we are today. You are part of our story, and for that, we are grateful! As we continue our journey forward, we commit to staying on mission, discipling hearts, transforming communities, and advancing the Gospel. Thank you for being a part of our new journey.

Our partnership with SCCF for our Donor Advised Fund has helped us expand and grow our giving opportunities with “Kingdom-focused” ministries.

Through SCCF’s great support and service, Circle 555 in York County has made a Kingdom-minded impact on our community. I give to many nonprofit organizations, and without hesitation, I would recommend SCCF to manage gifts in an impactful manner that is pleasing to God.

Having participated in Gatekeepers for a few years, I have found the fellowship, accountability, and community with Christian brothers to be life-giving, edifying, and enriching. I would encourage anyone considering Gatekeepers to try it. You will be blessed beyond expectation.

Because SCCF is mission-focused and Christ-centered, my husband and I prayerfully decided to invest our charitable funds with them and participate in their ministries. We feel confident our investment works for God’s glory and His Kingdom.

SCCF has become a valued and trusted resource for Christians focused on building God’s Kingdom through faithful stewardship and generous giving in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.

The greatest blessing for me in Circle 555 is partnering with Christian women from our community to support local ministries with our grants, gifts, and prayers and then hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and impacted families through these ministries.
