Left to right: Ruthi and Kitty

As Ruthi Neely, Circle 555 Statewide Coordinator, enters retirement, we are sharing several blog posts honoring her legacy. This blog is written by Kitty Cash, Ruthi’s sister-in-law and friend.

I was twelve the summer my brother, Bob, and Ruthi worked together at Ridgecrest. From the moment I met Ruthi, I loved her. I am so thankful God placed her in our family.

Ruthi has been my sister for over 50 years, but she is also my friend. One thing I cherish about my relationship with Ruthi is that she always points me back to the truth of Jesus. From the chaos of junior high to high school years, and on into my early days of marriage, she has been a consistent encourager and an honest voice of Biblical truth. Our conversations sitting beside the pool while watching our children swim are some that I remember fondly.

Over the years, our children grew up and grandchildren came. Now much of our time is spent talking things out and praying. Ruthi always prays. She doesn’t promise to pray, she prays immediately.

As with any true sister, we have shared many laughs and plenty of tears. We have walked some difficult roads together and I am so glad to have her in my life.

Ruthi is my sister, my friend, my encourager, and my prayer partner. I thank God for the gift He gave me in Ruthi.

Our partnership with SCCF for our Donor Advised Fund has helped us expand and grow our giving opportunities with “Kingdom-focused” ministries.

Through SCCF’s great support and service, Circle 555 in York County has made a Kingdom-minded impact on our community. I give to many nonprofit organizations, and without hesitation, I would recommend SCCF to manage gifts in an impactful manner that is pleasing to God.

Having participated in Gatekeepers for a few years, I have found the fellowship, accountability, and community with Christian brothers to be life-giving, edifying, and enriching. I would encourage anyone considering Gatekeepers to try it. You will be blessed beyond expectation.

Because SCCF is mission-focused and Christ-centered, my husband and I prayerfully decided to invest our charitable funds with them and participate in their ministries. We feel confident our investment works for God’s glory and His Kingdom.

SCCF has become a valued and trusted resource for Christians focused on building God’s Kingdom through faithful stewardship and generous giving in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.

The greatest blessing for me in Circle 555 is partnering with Christian women from our community to support local ministries with our grants, gifts, and prayers and then hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and impacted families through these ministries.
