Spartanburg, SC – November 6, 2025 – The South Carolina Christian Foundation (SCCF), an organization devoted to Biblical philanthropy, has awarded $300,000 in grants to 53 ministries across the state through it’s Community Trust Fund — including those in Spartanburg, Greenville, York and surrounding counties, and the Grand Strand area.
Since its founding in 2003, the Community Trust Fund has provided more than $4.1 million to local ministries across the state.
“The Community Trust Fund exists to support local ministries financially, encourage them spiritually, and raise awareness of their efforts publicly. Most people in our communities do not realize the vital role Christian non-profits play in serving our neighbors and extending the Gospel message to those in need,” said Bobby McDonald, SCCF President.
Through SCCF’s Community Leadership Council initiative, the Community Trust Fund provides grants that enable clients and donors to support gospel-led ministries serving South Carolina’s most vulnerable populations.
“Members of the Community Leadership Council are marketplace leaders who volunteer their time to engage and connect with these incredible organizations,” explained McDonald. “Then, they make recommendations to the SCCF Board as to where financial grants are most needed. It is SCCF’s avenue of being a part of what God is doing in the community and across South Carolina.”
This year's grants support a range of ministries focused on ending sex trafficking, serving those in prison, helping internationals through conversational English classes, and equipping and discipling those in the community.
“The Community Trust Fund is open to anyone who wants to support a broad range of ministries serving diverse communities and addressing a variety of needs,” McDonald added. “Every gift to the Community Trust Fund goes toward sharing the Gospel and extending mercy to those in greatest need.”
