Spartanburg, SC – April 16, 2025 – Circle 555, a special initiative of South Carolina Christian Foundation (SCCF), presented grants totaling $264,534 throughout March to 44 ministries across the state. Ministries receiving grants serve women, children, and families and support areas such as homelessness, at-risk youth, addiction recovery, foster care, adoption, school, campus ministry, and more. Counties impacted include Greenville, Spartanburg, York, Georgetown, and Horry.

Founded in 2008, Circle 555 unites women to give collectively to ministries that share the Gospel of Jesus. Currently, there are four Circle 555 giving circles statewide. Some of the ministries receiving grants this year include:

  • Bright Side Youth Ranch (York), a ministry that inspires the next generation toward the hope that Jesus offers. The ministry works with children ages 8 to 18 experiencing crisis and trauma. Our programs at Bright Side Youth Ranch point them to the hope that Jesus offers.
  • Coastline Women’s Center (Grand Strand), a ministry dedicated to transforming lives by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, focusing on the whole being, upholding the sanctity of life, and dealing with the impacts of pregnancy and abortion on individuals and their families.
  • Destiny’s Calling (York), a ministry dedicated to the restoration of rescued girls between the ages of 13 and 21 who are survivors of sex and human trafficking. The ministry educates, empowers, and encourages individuals in a God-centered environment, primarily focusing on healing and restoration.
  • Fostering the Family (Greenville), a ministry that empowers and engages churches to support foster and adoptive parents who are committed to changing the lives of vulnerable children.
  • Road 678 (Spartanburg), a faith-based ministry that teaches life skills and uses mentor relationships to instill qualities in our students that help them become productive, caring, and responsible young adults.
  • Ruth’s Gleanings (Spartanburg), a ministry that empowers people in nutritional poverty by increasing access to healthy, fresh food while sharing the Gospel with those they serve.
  • Silver Lining School of the Arts (Grand Strand), a Christ-centered performing arts center committed to excellence in dance and music education, superior instruction, and creating a safe environment that encourages dancers to grow in technique, heart, and soul.
  • Switch (Greenville), a ministry whose mission is to end local sex trafficking and exploitation by empowering God's people to be the light of the world.

Since its founding, Circle 555 members have gifted approximately $1.75M to ministries across the state. Members donate $555 or more annually ($155 annually for women 35 years and younger). Donations are combined, and members determine by vote which Christian ministries serving women, children, and families will receive a grant award each year.

Circle 555 members also champion the LOOP, a Christian Giving Circle for girls in grades 1 – 12. Young girls donate $5.55 annually and, at year-end, vote to determine which ministry will receive a grant. Since 2008, the LOOP has donated more than $8,800 to ministries throughout the state.

Our partnership with SCCF for our Donor Advised Fund has helped us expand and grow our giving opportunities with “Kingdom-focused” ministries.

Through SCCF’s great support and service, Circle 555 in York County has made a Kingdom-minded impact on our community. I give to many nonprofit organizations, and without hesitation, I would recommend SCCF to manage gifts in an impactful manner that is pleasing to God.

Having participated in Gatekeepers for a few years, I have found the fellowship, accountability, and community with Christian brothers to be life-giving, edifying, and enriching. I would encourage anyone considering Gatekeepers to try it. You will be blessed beyond expectation.

Because SCCF is mission-focused and Christ-centered, my husband and I prayerfully decided to invest our charitable funds with them and participate in their ministries. We feel confident our investment works for God’s glory and His Kingdom.

SCCF has become a valued and trusted resource for Christians focused on building God’s Kingdom through faithful stewardship and generous giving in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.

The greatest blessing for me in Circle 555 is partnering with Christian women from our community to support local ministries with our grants, gifts, and prayers and then hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and impacted families through these ministries.
