Imagine life without your local bank.

Where would you turn for assistance with monetary transactions? Even if you are tech-savvy and conduct your banking online, what would you do without the services provided by a checking or savings account or the options of a CD or money market? No debit. No credit. What would it be like to manage cash for every transaction?

One thing is certain…your personal money management would be far different and far more inefficient.

Just as a bank manages your financial transactions, South Carolina Christian Foundation can make your charitable transactions more effective and more efficient.

Just as you deposit money into your bank for them to hold and manage until you are ready to access those funds or transact business, South Carolina Christian Foundation can hold your charitable assets until you are ready to give them out to the causes and purposes you care about most. It’s like a checking account for your giving—called a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) or as we like to say, a giving fund.

Through your giving fund at South Carolina Christian Foundation, you can

  • Simplify your giving.
  • Enjoy significant tax-deductible benefits that affect your personal bottom line.
  • Make a greater impact with your charitable dollar.

Like a bank, a community foundation is a collection of individual funds or accounts that serve like-minded people living in the same neighborhood. Using the community foundation model, SCCF serves you and those like you who desire to give back, support others, make a difference, and most of all give smarter.

SCCF provides charitable giving strategies helping you leverage your assets to accomplish both your financial goals and your charitable work. Yes, there are ways donors can financially benefit by giving even as you receive the joy of giving due to your generosity and compassion.  Community foundations specialize in these giving strategies to maximize your charitable impact, all while simplifying the giving process and reporting.

Community foundations, however, are more than just charitable partners, and we do more than transactional work. SCCF is also a strategic catalyst convening leaders to transform the community by unifying efforts and improving the lives of our neighbors, primarily through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Through various initiatives, SCCF engages different aspects of the community with the common message of Christian stewardship. We engage women and young ladies through Circle 555 and the LOOP. Ministry Leaders are encouraged and united through Ministries to Ministries. Our Gatekeepers groups connect financial professionals and wealth advisors. We offer Business Impact Groups, and we organize Local Leadership Councils, through which ministry grants are annually offered. Through these, we seek to share the defining points and true meaning of stewardship, generosity, giving, and compassion. We also seek to raise awareness of the needs in the community and the ministries actively trying to meet those needs from a Biblical perspective. We unite the community around what matters—loving God and loving people.

SCCF is your Christian Community Foundation focusing on Local Gospel Impact by Discipling Hearts and Defining Stewardship. Let us assist you in Giving Smarter and Getting Connected. Join us in embracing the Great Commandment to fulfill the Great Commission.

Our partnership with SCCF for our Donor Advised Fund has helped us expand and grow our giving opportunities with “Kingdom-focused” ministries.

Through SCCF’s great support and service, Circle 555 in York County has made a Kingdom-minded impact on our community. I give to many nonprofit organizations, and without hesitation, I would recommend SCCF to manage gifts in an impactful manner that is pleasing to God.

Having participated in Gatekeepers for a few years, I have found the fellowship, accountability, and community with Christian brothers to be life-giving, edifying, and enriching. I would encourage anyone considering Gatekeepers to try it. You will be blessed beyond expectation.

Because SCCF is mission-focused and Christ-centered, my husband and I prayerfully decided to invest our charitable funds with them and participate in their ministries. We feel confident our investment works for God’s glory and His Kingdom.

SCCF has become a valued and trusted resource for Christians focused on building God’s Kingdom through faithful stewardship and generous giving in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties.

The greatest blessing for me in Circle 555 is partnering with Christian women from our community to support local ministries with our grants, gifts, and prayers and then hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and impacted families through these ministries.
